Mermama and her littlest Mermaids- A mermaid photoshoot in Cincinnati Ohio
I love when my clients come to me with big dreams of a specific image. For example, a pregnant mermaid and her little mermaid daughter as her maternity photos.
Sounds like a dream right? Maybe a Dream Portrait ha! IF you’re new around here and didn’t get my joke, that’s ok.
I shoot something I like to call a Dream Portrait. Basically it’s where we take something you think could never happen in real life- I.e. Becoming a mermaid, and make it happen for you with the magical tools of photography and photoshop wizardry. You just tell me what you want and I’ll do my best to make it happen for you. My friends son likes to call me the girl with the magic camera as I’ve put him into some special scenarios a couple of times.
But let’s get back to why I have you here.
Mermaids.
Now, I love doing things involving mermaids, anything underwater both for real ( like I shoot underwater too check it out here) and just making it up in photoshop. One is definitely easier than the other but they are both so fun. Maybe I’m just really happy around water and when I’m swimming, who knows.
Either way, I love making those mermaid dreams come true!
I have a couple fabric tails in my studio that we use for things like this. And I’m getting ready to make a real silicone one for any mermaid needs that arise in the future. For this session we used the fabric tails. I don’t love the fins for them though so I always change them in Photoshop when It’s time to edit. Make them a little bit more… amazing.
