Family photo sessions at Say Yes to Jess are NOT the "everyone stand together and say cheese" kind. No way. I want to see your family actually being your family. Kids being goofy, parents cracking up, the dog trying to steal the show. That's the good stuff. That's what you're going to want to look at in 20 years.
Every family session is styled to fit YOUR family's personality. We can do studio, outdoor, a little of both, themed sets (90s JCP shoot anyone?), matching outfits, totally mismatched outfits, whatever feels right for you. Sessions are 90 minutes and I have tons of wardrobe and props available in the studio. If you're looking for a family photographer in Cincinnati who actually makes the experience fun and not stressful, you're in the right place.
I photograph families all across the Greater Cincinnati area including Covington, Florence, West Chester, Hyde Park, Oakley, Northside, and Northern Kentucky. I'm also happy to travel further out for the right adventure!
How does booking work?

Step 1 | Inquire
Send me a message. Tell me a little bit about what you’re looking for and when. I’ll send you over everything you need to get your session started. I try to respond as fast as I can. Usually within a day or so.

Step 2 | Planning
Let’s plan a little chat to go over the details of your shoot. We can chat wardrobe, what to bring, and any other little details you may want to add in.

Step 3 | Session time!
It’s time for your session! It will be a fun and chill time with music on in the background and tons of wardrobe ready for you! Sessions are usually 90 minutes long.

Step 4 | Gallery
2 weeks after your session, you will get a link to your gallery. You can pick and choose what images you want to print and download from here.

Yes! I have wardrobe to use in all my sessions. We will go over what you're looking for before your session to see If I have something that will work with the vibe you're trying to create.

I always recommend coordinating rather than matching exactly. Pick 2 to 3 colors you love and build outfits from there. During our planning chat we'll figure out what works for your family's vibe. The most important thing is that everyone feels comfortable and like themselves.

Bring who you like. My sessions are based on time, not people. Whatever we can do in 90 minutes is good with me :)

Of course! My sessions are based on time, not headcount, so bring whoever you want. Multigenerational sessions are some of my favorites. We'll plan the session so you get the full group shots plus smaller combinations like just the grandparents with the kids, siblings together, and so on.

Sessions usually run anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes. If we have super little ones, we might run a little faster to make sure they are in good spirits the whole time.

Listen, I get it. Kids are unpredictable and that's actually what makes the best photos. I don't need everyone to sit still and smile at the same time. Some of my favorite family images are the ones where the kids are being wild and the parents are cracking up. I'm really good at rolling with the chaos and finding the magic in it.

Yes! This is one of my favorite things to do. I've done everything from Addams Family themed shoots to retro 90s JCPenney style portraits. If you've got a fun idea, bring it to me and we'll make it happen. I have props, sets, and wardrobe to help bring your vision to life.

Sessions can take place in studio or on location. I'm happy to go to fun cute spots that you know of too. We will discuss location during our planning of your session.
