Senior Portraits in Cincinnati, Ohio
High school Senior portrait photography in Cincinnati Ohio
Your senior portraits should look like YOU. Not some stiff, stand-in-front-of-a-tree-and-smile yearbook shot. I'm talking about portraits that actually capture your personality, your vibe, your whole deal. You're into music? Let's bring your guitar. You're an athlete? Let's do something with that. You're just a cool person who wants cool photos? Say less. I'm on it.
Senior sessions are 90 minutes of pure creative energy. We'll plan your outfits, pick a location (studio, outdoor, both), and put together a session that's 100% built around you. I have tons of wardrobe and props in the studio, and I'm always down to try something that's never been done before.
I photograph seniors all across the Cincinnati area and beyond. Whether you're in Hyde Park, West Chester, Mason, Northern Kentucky, or anywhere in between, let's make your senior year something worth remembering.
Who Is a Senior Portrait Session For?
Senior pictures are for everyone… but here's who books with me specifically:
The creative kid who hates boring photos. You want something that actually looks like you, not some generic backdrop-and-smile shot. Good. That's exactly what I do.
The athlete, the musician, the artist. Bring your gear. Bring your instrument. Bring whatever makes you YOU. We'll build the whole session around it.
The senior who has no idea what they want. That's fine too. I've done this long enough to pull a great session out of "I don't know, I just want cool photos." We'll figure it out together.
The family who wants something more than a yearbook photo. Senior year goes fast. These are the photos you're going to have forever. They should actually mean something.
The high school senior who wants to mark the moment. Graduation is a big deal. These portraits are how you remember who you were right before everything changed.

What to Expect During Your Cincinnati Senior Portrait Session
Never done a senior photoshoot before? Here's how it works.
Before your session. We'll have a quick planning chat to talk through your vision -- outfits, locations, props, vibe. You'll walk in on session day knowing exactly what to expect and feeling ready.
Your session. Sessions are 90 minutes of just doing whatever makes you feel like yourself. Music on, no pressure, no stiff poses. I'll guide you through everything. Most people are nervous for about five minutes and then forget the camera is there entirely. That's where the good stuff happens.
Studio, outdoor, or both. My studio is in Cincinnati at 2701 Spring Grove Ave in Camp Washington. We can shoot there, on location, or split the session between both. Some of my favorite Cincinnati spots for seniors include Eden Park, the Roebling Bridge, Over-the-Rhine, a Northside graffiti alley, Fountain Square, and downtown Cincinnati -- but I'm always up for somewhere new.
Your gallery. About two weeks after your session, you'll get your full gallery of 20 professionally edited images to download, print, and share. Every image is yours -- no packages, no picking from proofs.
Common questions
-
Yes! I have wardrobe to use in all my sessions. We will go over what you're looking for before your session to see If I have something that will work with the vibe you're trying to create.
-
My biggest advice: wear what you actually wear. Clothes that fit well, feel like you, and make you feel confident are going to photograph way better than something you bought specifically for the session and feel uncomfortable in. That said, I recommend bringing 2-3 outfits so we have options. Avoid very busy patterns or logos that date quickly. Solid colors and textures tend to photograph beautifully. And if you have no idea, just tell me your vibe and I'll help you figure it out -- it's part of the planning process.
-
Absolutely! I love discovering new locations and experiences, and incorporating that into your session makes it even more enjoyable. Please note that for travel over a half-hour, there will be a small travel fee based on the location. Let’s make your session an adventure!
-
Sessions are 90 minutes. If we need extra time it is an additional $100 per hour.
-
You're in the right place! Traditional isn't my style and I always steer clear of the ordinary. If you're an artsy person who loves unique, out-of-the-box ideas, I'm totally your girl. We can do themed sets, multiple locations, outfit changes, props, you name it. Your senior portraits should look like YOU, not like everyone else's. Let's create something that actually shows off your personality.

Most seniors book their sessions the summer before or early fall of their senior year, but honestly there's no wrong time. Some people book early to get their photos on their grad announcements and yearbook. Some wait until spring when everything is green and blooming. If you want fall vibes with golden light and changing leaves, I'd recommend booking by late August so we can lock in a date before the season fills up. The sooner you reach out, the more flexibility we'll have with scheduling. But even if it's last minute, send me a message anyway and we'll make it work!

Senior portrait sessions at Say Yes to Jess are $450 for 90 minutes and come with at least 20 digital images to download from your gallery. That includes free use of all my studio wardrobe and props, plus we can shoot in studio, on location, or both. Need more time? Extra hours are $100 each. Hair and makeup can be added for $150. If you want to see everything I offer and compare session types, check out my pricing page.

Just you and me. When I photograph your senior, those images go into a private gallery that only you and your family can access. I never share, sell, or license your photos to any third party, period. Your images are not stored on any corporate server or shared with any outside company. They stay between us. I'm a small, local, one-woman business and your privacy and your child's safety are something I take really seriously.

My studio is in Cincinnati, OH and I shoot senior sessions both in studio and on location. Some of my favorite spots are around Hyde Park, Eden Park, Covington, Northside, and downtown Cincinnati, but I'm always down to explore somewhere new if you have a spot in mind. Want to shoot at your school, your favorite park, a cool urban area, or even your backyard? Let's do it. I also travel to Northern Kentucky, West Chester, Florence, and beyond. Your senior portraits should feel like YOU, and that includes where we shoot them.
-
All of them! Every senior session includes your full gallery of 20 professionally edited images to download, print, and share however you want.
-
For a 90-minute session, 2-3 outfits is the sweet spot. That gives us enough variety without spending the whole session changing clothes. If you want more outfit changes, we can always add extra time for $100 per hour.
-
Yes -- parents are welcome to come along. I just ask that during the actual shooting, seniors get a little space to loosen up and be themselves. Parents who hover tend to make seniors stiffer in front of the camera, even unintentionally. Most parents end up hanging out nearby and peeking at the back of the camera, which is honestly the best job.
-
Yes! I offer hair and makeup as an add-on for $150. I work with talented artists who come right to the studio. It makes a real difference in how you feel walking in, and that confidence shows in every photo. Totally optional, but highly recommended if you want to feel fully taken care of from the moment you arrive.
