Senior Portraits

High school Senior portrait photography in Cincinnati Ohio

Your senior portraits should look like YOU. Not some stiff, stand-in-front-of-a-tree-and-smile yearbook shot. I'm talking about portraits that actually capture your personality, your vibe, your whole deal. You're into music? Let's bring your guitar. You're an athlete? Let's do something with that. You're just a cool person who wants cool photos? Say less. I'm on it.

Senior sessions are 90 minutes of pure creative energy. We'll plan your outfits, pick a location (studio, outdoor, both), and put together a session that's 100% built around you. I have tons of wardrobe and props in the studio, and I'm always down to try something that's never been done before.

I photograph seniors all across the Cincinnati area and beyond. Whether you're in Hyde Park, West Chester, Mason, Northern Kentucky, or anywhere in between, let's make your senior year something worth remembering.

Common questions

  • Yes! I have wardrobe to use in all my sessions. We will go over what you're looking for before your session to see If I have something that will work with the vibe you're trying to create.

  • Absolutely! I love discovering new locations and experiences, and incorporating that into your session makes it even more enjoyable. Please note that for travel over a half-hour, there will be a small travel fee based on the location. Let’s make your session an adventure!

  • Sessions are 90 minutes. If we need extra time it is an additional $100 per hour.

  • You're in the right place! Traditional isn't my style and I always steer clear of the ordinary. If you're an artsy person who loves unique, out-of-the-box ideas, I'm totally your girl. We can do themed sets, multiple locations, outfit changes, props, you name it. Your senior portraits should look like YOU, not like everyone else's. Let's create something that actually shows off your personality.

  • Most seniors book their sessions the summer before or early fall of their senior year, but honestly there's no wrong time. Some people book early to get their photos on their grad announcements and yearbook. Some wait until spring when everything is green and blooming. If you want fall vibes with golden light and changing leaves, I'd recommend booking by late August so we can lock in a date before the season fills up. The sooner you reach out, the more flexibility we'll have with scheduling. But even if it's last minute, send me a message anyway and we'll make it work!

  • Senior portrait sessions at Say Yes to Jess are $450 for 90 minutes and come with 20 digital images to download from your gallery. That includes free use of all my studio wardrobe and props, plus we can shoot in studio, on location, or both. Need more time? Extra hours are $100 each. Hair and makeup can be added for $150. If you want to see everything I offer and compare session types, check out my pricing page.

  • Just you and me. When I photograph your senior, those images go into a private gallery that only you and your family can access. I never share, sell, or license your photos to any third party, period. Your images are not stored on any corporate server or shared with any outside company. They stay between us. I'm a small, local, one-woman business and your privacy and your child's safety are something I take really seriously.

  • My studio is in Cincinnati, OH and I shoot senior sessions both in studio and on location. Some of my favorite spots are around Hyde Park, Eden Park, Covington, and downtown Cincinnati, but I'm always down to explore somewhere new if you have a spot in mind. Want to shoot at your school, your favorite park, a cool urban area, or even your backyard? Let's do it. I also travel to Northern Kentucky, West Chester, Florence, and beyond. Your senior portraits should feel like YOU, and that includes where we shoot them.

“it's hard to make a teenage boy feel comfortable having their picture taken, but Jess was great at getting my moody teen to open up and even (gasp) SMILE in his photos! I will treasure his senior photos forever, so grateful Jess was able to truly capture his spirit.”
