Floral and Milk bath Portraits

Milk Bath and Floral Bath Photoshoots in Cincinnati, Ohio

If you've ever scrolled past a milk bath photo and thought "I NEED that," this is your sign.

So what's the difference between a floral pool and a milk bath? Great question! Floral pools are big pools of water filled with tons of flowers and whatever color of water you want. A theme can be added to these too. These are usually done in the warmer months since they're done semi outside. Floral pools are perfect for maternity and boudoir portraits and they look absolutely unreal.

Milk baths are typically done in clawfoot tubs in a beautiful setting with tons of floral around it. These can be done any time of the year since they're indoors and climate controlled. Also amazing for maternity and boudoir sessions.

Every session is completely different because every session is designed around YOU. We'll talk about your vibe, your color palette, what kind of flowers or fruits you want, and what you want to feel when you see the final images. Some people go roses and petals. Some go citrus and greenery. Some go full rainbow. There are no rules here, just magic.

I provide everything for the setup. All you need to bring is yourself (and maybe your favorite playlist). Sessions take place in Cincinnati.

Common questions

  • These can be booked anytime throughout the year. However are BEST done in the warmer months. They can be done in colder months but the water may be a little colder.

  • Yes! I have wardrobe to use in all my sessions. We will go over what you're looking for before your session to see If I have something that will work with the vibe you're trying to create.

  • For milk baths, I rent a special studio located in Newport Kentucky. It is a charming private carriage house with white painted brick and vintage in design.

  • I supply all towels and things to dry off with. But I would bring some flip flops and a coverup as we do travel to a spot outside of my studio.

  • This is totally up to you. Makeup is always a good option. Hair though will likely get wet if not fully submerged into your scene. So I wouldn't put a large amount of effort into that.

  • Floral Baths can be so many things. You can simply do a bunch of flowers in a white water or switch it up and do glitter in an electric colored water. I've even had some really fun holiday themed ones and fairy themed shoots. The possibilities are endless!

  • Yes, and honestly it's one of the most beautiful ways to celebrate your pregnancy! Milk baths with flowers are absolutely stunning for maternity portraits. We can customize the whole setup to match your vibe, whether that's soft and dreamy with pastels or bold and dramatic with deep reds and greens. A lot of my maternity clients book a milk bath session and it ends up being their favorite set of photos from the entire pregnancy.

  • It's exactly what it sounds like and it's as fun as you think! Instead of flowers and milk, we use glitter, colored water, and dramatic lighting to create something bold and sparkly. It's a great option if florals aren't your thing or if you just want something completely different. The cleanup is on me, so all you have to do is have a good time.

  • Milk baths are available year-round since they're done indoors in my Cincinnati studio. Floral pools are the ones that are typically done in warmer months since they're semi-outdoor. So if you're booking in the colder months, a milk bath or glitter bath in the clawfoot tub is the way to go. Just as gorgeous, just cozier.
