Dream Portraits

Dream Portraits in Cincinnati Ohio

You know those fun adventures you take yourself on in your imagination? Maybe you're riding on the back of a dinosaur. Maybe you're scaling the side of a building like Spider-Man. Maybe you want to turn your whole family into wrestlers with crazy costumes. Or maybe your kid wants to fight their sibling with lightsabers. Whatever your dream is, a Dream Portrait will make it real.

Every Dream Portrait is custom built from scratch. We start with your idea (or your kid's idea, because let's be real, kids have the best imaginations), and I bring it to life using years of Photoshop skills and a whole lot of creative energy. No AI. Just me, my computer, and a ton of imagination.

Dream Portraits can be combined with any other session too! Get all your family portraits AND a couple dream images at the same time. Each session comes with 3 dream images that can tell a story or be totally different things. The turnaround is 2-3 weeks because these take a lot of love and editing to get right.

How does booking work?

  • A family from the Star Wars universe, including a man and woman wielding red and purple lightsabers, and two children, alongside C-3PO and R2-D2 robots, with X-wing fighters flying above them.

    Step 1 | Inquire

Send me a message. Tell me a little bit about what you’re looking for and when. I’ll send you over everything you need to get your session started. I try to respond as fast as I can. Usually within a day or so.

  • A young girl with red hair smiling in front of a colorful background with glowing jellyfish and light effects.

    Step 2 | Planning

Let’s plan a little chat to go over the details of your shoot. We can chat wardrobe, what to bring, and any other little details you may want to add in.

  • A young child in an astronaut suit with a helmet and a flashlight explores a surreal alien landscape at night, with a starry sky and mountains in the background. An octopus-like creature is present on the left side.

    Step 3 | Session time!

It’s time for your session! It will be a fun and chill time with music on in the background and tons of wardrobe ready for you! Sessions are usually 90 minutes long.

  • Children riding a large dinosaur in a grassy field during sunset.

    Step 4 | Gallery

2 weeks after your session, you will get a link to your gallery. You can pick and choose what images you want to print and download from here.

Common questions

  • Dream Portraits are taking your imagination and printing out out into the real world. We come up with an idea that you love like riding a dinosaur, being your favorite superhero or becoming a mermaid and make it come to life.

  • Each session comes with 3 dream images. They can be tied together and tell a story OR can be totally different things all together.

  • This will depend on your specific needs, and we’ll discuss everything before your shoot. If your costume is something I can create, I’d be more than happy to make it happen for you! Alternatively, I can order something if it’s not feasible for me to make. Let’s collaborate to bring your vision to life!

  • Dream Portraits involve more extensive editing and typically take 2-3 weeks to complete. If you need your portraits sooner, please let me know in advance, and I’ll do my best to make arrangements for a quicker turnaround.

  • No, I typically do not use any AI in my work. The images you see are the result of years of self-teaching and mastery of Photoshop. While I may incorporate stock images and 3D rendered assets depending on the project, the creative vision and execution are entirely my own. Your images are crafted with care and expertise!

“Jess Summers is not "just" a photographer. She is a highly intelligent, fun, and creative force who can somehow turn the wildest imaginations into a masterpiece on paper (or film if you prefer). Each experience with Jess is unlike the previous one, nothing is off the table with her. It also helps that she is an all-around good person. Thankful for this professional partnership that has transitioned into family type relationship.”
