I made over 20 fantasy head pieces for photoshoots!
Head pieces are so fun to have in photoshoots!
They bring life and a little bit of sparkle to something that may be a little boring. It came to my attention the other day that I really didn’t have any in the studio. I had a couple crowns but nothing really that made me super happy to have out if anyone wanted to use them.
So, I did what I do best and challenged myself to make some. Really, I challenged myself to make 10 but ended up making 22.
I’ve decided is they are actually really easy to make. I suppose that’s a good thought to have since I may have accidently purchased 100 headbands for some to be made in the future. - no seriously, there is a huge stack of headbands tucked away on my supplies wall.
I started out with just your simple zip tie one. You know, the one we see all the time on pinterest where they are like “Make your own head piece for a photoshoot in 10 minutes!” or something like that. That was fine but really not super elegant and I just wanted more from it. So, I got to creating whatever combination of things popped into my head.
Flowers, feathers, little odds and ends that I had around the studio and a whole lot of hot glue came into play here. It was very relaxing too. I played a lot of podcasts and just made stuff. Really my kind of afternoon. Well, 3 afternoons because It took 3 days haha.
I made so many headpieces! I even have made more since this when the mood strikes to make one. To see all of them that I made, head over to my studio prop link and check them all out. To see how I made them all, check out my video of that below!
To book yourself a session and use them yourself, just send me a message :)
