Creative Photos are totally my jam. Made in photoshop or made taken in real life.
For this session I was sent a few inspo photos. They all had a kind of earthy vibe. In giant flower fields and cute country settings. However as I got to know my client a little bit better. I learned that she is super unique. She loves dinosaurs ( Me tooooo!!!) interesting angles and really fun poses. She did also like the things she sent me but really her personality shines through on the ones that are not so traditional.
We started her session at Devou Park in Covington Kentucky. We focused our photos on the area around the bandshell and rotary grove. I brought with me my bright yellow chair (that you should see me pack into my 2 door coup) and put it on my wagon to roll it around to different spots.
I also brought with me a sweet little butterfly crown that got to make it’s first appearance in photos during this session. Once we were done with the park, we traveled to Target for the second half of her session.
One of the inspo photos she sent me was of a girl in a cart with flowers put all along the side of the cart with a person inside of it holding a disco ball with one finger. This was such a fun photo that I had never really seen before and I knew I 1000% wanted to recreate it. So we stopped into Michaels, got some flowers. Then popped into target to grab a cart, some snacks and some fun hair clips. Then got our cart all set up!
We decided that the cart couldn’t stay red, but needed to change to a purple. Really to match her outfit more and to work with the flowers we got. Personally after changing the cart to purple, I think Target is missing an opportunity to make really cute carts in purple. Hear me out- limited edition carts? haha kidding but really, I’m loving it as purple.
