Celebrate HER Sessions in Cincinnati: Photography for Women Who Are Ready to Show Up for Themselves
You don't need a reason.
I'm going to say that again because I really need you to hear it. You do NOT need a reason to book this session.
You don't need to be celebrating a birthday. You don't need to have lost weight. You don't need to be getting married or having a baby or hitting some milestone that the world decided is "big enough" to justify doing something for yourself.
You can book a Celebrate HER session just because you want to. Just because you're ready to see yourself the way everyone around you already sees you. That's it. That's enough.
I'm Jess, and I'm a Cincinnati photographer who created Celebrate HER sessions for exactly this reason. Because women spend so much time showing up for everyone else and almost never stop to show up for themselves. And when they finally do? It's one of the most powerful things I've ever gotten to witness.
So What Even IS a Celebrate HER Session?
Okay let me break it down because I know this might be new territory for you.
A Celebrate HER session is a photography experience designed entirely around making you feel like the most incredible version of yourself. It's not boudoir (although it can have that energy if you want). It's not just headshots. It's not a "glamour shot" situation from the 90s. It's something completely different.
It's YOU, in my studio, with music playing, wardrobe options ready for you, your favorite snacks out, and someone behind the camera whose entire job is to make you feel like the absolute baddie you are.
We plan your looks together beforehand. I direct you the whole time so you never have to worry about what to do with your hands or whether you're "doing it right." And by the end of it, you're going to feel like a completely different person. Well, not different. Just the version of you that's been in there the whole time but maybe hasn't gotten the spotlight in a while.
Who Books These Sessions
Honestly? Everyone. And I mean that.
I've photographed women who just went through a divorce and wanted to reclaim who they are. Women who lost weight and wanted to celebrate what their body can do now. Women turning 30, 40, 50 who decided this was the year they stop putting themselves last. Women who got a promotion and wanted to feel as powerful as they actually are. Women who just woke up one Tuesday and thought "you know what, I deserve this."
All of them are right. All of those reasons are valid. And so is yours, whatever it is. Even if your reason is "I just want to."
That's the whole point. You don't have to earn the right to feel amazing.
"But I'm Not Photogenic"
Stop it. I hear this literally every single time and I need you to know something.
Being "photogenic" is not a thing you're born with. It's a thing that happens when someone behind the camera actually knows what they're doing. When the lighting is right, when the direction is right, when the energy in the room is right, EVERYONE looks incredible.
My job is to make you look as good as you actually are. Not some fake, overly edited, doesn't-even-look-like-you version. The real you. The one your best friend sees when she looks at you. The one your kids see. The one your partner sees. That version. Because that version is stunning and you just haven't seen her from this angle yet.
You don't need to practice posing. You don't need to lose 10 pounds first. You don't need to wait until your skin is clearer or your hair is longer or your life is more "together." Come as you are. I'll handle the rest.
What the Experience Actually Looks Like
Let me walk you through the whole thing so there are no surprises.
First, we plan. Before your session, we'll have a consultation where we talk about what you want to feel during your shoot. Not just what you want to look like, but how you want to FEEL. We'll plan outfits together (I have wardrobe in the studio you can use), talk about hair and makeup if you want to add that on, and figure out the vibe you're going for.
Then you show up and I handle everything. Your set is ready. The music is going. Your favorite snacks are waiting. I make you a custom playlist for your session because the right music changes everything. You walk in and the only thing you have to do is exist and let me do my thing.
The session is 90 minutes to 2 hours. We take our time. There's no rush, no pressure, no assembly line of clients after you. It's just you and me (and your hair and makeup artist if you added that on). We'll try different looks, different setups, different energy levels. By about 20 minutes in, most women completely forget they were nervous and start having the time of their life.
You take home a printed keepsake that same day. Before you even leave the studio, you have a physical photo in your hands. Something you can look at when you forget how incredible you are.
Your full gallery is ready in about 2 weeks. You get a link to your private gallery with all of your professionally edited images ready to download, print, and share.
And this is the part that gets me every time. When women see their gallery for the first time, the most common reaction is "wait... that's ME?" Yes. That's you. That's been you this whole time.
You Can Gift This Too
One of my favorite things is when someone books a Celebrate HER session as a gift for their mom, their sister, their best friend, their daughter. Because sometimes the women who need this the most would never book it for themselves. They'd talk themselves out of it. They'd say they're too busy or it's too expensive or they're not "the type."
So if you're reading this and you're thinking of someone who deserves to feel this way? Gift certificates are available. You can give someone the gift of seeing themselves the way you see them. That's kind of the best gift there is.
This Is Not About Being Perfect
I want to be super clear about something. Celebrate HER sessions are not about looking perfect. They're not about being a certain size or a certain age or having a certain look. My studio is a safe, inclusive, judgment-free space. LGBTQ+ are loved and celebrated here, always. Every body is welcome. Every person is welcome. Every story is welcome.
This is about capturing who you are RIGHT NOW. Not who you were ten years ago. Not who you want to be next year. Who you are today. And that person is worth celebrating.
Why Women Keep Saying "I Wish I Did This Sooner"
I hear it all the time. "Why did I wait so long?" "I should have done this years ago." "I had no idea I could look like this."
Every single session, without fail. Women walk in nervous, sometimes terrified, sometimes apologizing for how they look before I've even picked up the camera. And they walk out feeling like they just unlocked something they forgot they had.
That's not an exaggeration. That's just what happens when someone finally takes a moment to show up for themselves. When someone finally says "you know what? I'm going to do the thing I've been thinking about."
So if you've been sitting on this, if you've had this tab open for three days, if you keep coming back to the idea and talking yourself out of it... stop. This is your sign. You're ready.

I'm Jess. I run Say Yes to Jess out of my studio in Cincinnati, Ohio. And Celebrate HER sessions are my absolute favorite thing I do. Because watching a woman realize how incredible she is? That never gets old.
