90's JCP Photoshoot

Have you ever wanted to take some photos with your besties… but in old school 90's JC Penneys style? Well if you have, I've got some inspo for you!

I recently had a group of amazing besties stop in to do just that. They showed up in their best 90's outfits and even brought some rainbow suspenders to go with it! We had a series of poses to go through and they all were so good and made all of us laugh so hard. This was so much fun. Definitely worth doing with your own friends.

If you grew up in the 90s, you know exactly what I'm talking about. The teal backdrop. The awkward but iconic poses. Heads stacked on top of each other. Laying on the floor propped up on your elbows. Looking over your shoulder in matching denim jackets. Every single one of those poses happened at this session and it was absolutely perfect.

The best part about a shoot like this is that there's zero pressure. Nobody's trying to look like a model. You're just showing up with your people, dressing ridiculous (or ridiculously cool, depending on how you look at it), and laughing the entire time. That's the whole vibe. These are the sessions where my cheeks hurt from smiling by the end.

This group came in coordinated with matching denim and black outfits, colorful bracelets, and sneakers. They nailed the aesthetic without overthinking it. That's my biggest tip if you want to do one of these — just pick a color palette, raid your closet (or your mom's closet, let's be real), and lean into it. Scrunchies, chunky jewelry, high-waisted everything. You know the drill.

A 90s JCP session is perfect for friend groups, sisters, coworkers, or honestly anyone who wants to do something fun and different together. It makes an amazing birthday gift too. You walk out with photos that are equal parts hilarious and genuinely beautiful, and memories you'll be laughing about for years.

Want to book your own 90's JCP throwback session with your crew? Send me a message and let's make it happen. I'll have the teal backdrop and cheesy poses ready to go.
