Smiley wall mini set - My new favorite thing!

Sometimes I find really cute things on Pinterest…

ok I always find really cute things on Pinterest.

I have lists of things to actually make into real tangible things for DAYYYZZZ

So obviously that means that a good portion of them won’t see the light of day. But sometimes there are things that really stick out to me and I just literally HAVE TO MAKE THEM!

A smiling person stands against a vibrant yellow wall covered in large smiley faces. They wear a black shirt, denim shorts, and white glasses, exuding a cheerful vibe.
A woman in a black T-shirt and denim shorts stands smiling against a vibrant yellow wall covered in large, black-outlined smiley faces. The mood is cheerful and playful.
A corner art installation covered in multiple yellow smiley faces on a black background, creating a cheerful and playful atmosphere in a workshop setting.
A vibrant mural of yellow smiling faces covers the walls and floor, creating a playful and cheerful atmosphere with varying sizes and expressions.

This is one of them. Maybe it’s because I have an odd obsession with smiley faces. I quite literally find them everywhere. Maybe it’s because smiley faces have been an odd on and off trend in my little world for since I can remember- Anyone else remember the Kmart smiley brand stuff? Joe Boxer? Well it stuck with me hard!

When I scrolled across this cute little yellow painted wall and spray painted smileys all over it, the hyper focus kicked in hard. In fact, nothing else was going to happen till that wall was built.

Luckily I mostly had everything I needed already for it. Since I’m one to never really toss old props I have foam boards ready to go stored away. I also have tons of paint usually too. However, I did realize I didn’t have enough black paint later on but almost got it covered.

I’ve got a really short video on my IG about the whole build if you like to watch things like that. But just know this wall is ready to go for anyone who would like a retro smiley wall as their photo background. I’ll likely NEVER paint over it because it does make my heart overly happy.
