Do you have a fur baby you consider part of your family? I sure do. I actually have two. Their names are Polly and Patches.
I've had them for almost 10 years. I've drug them to every new apartment, house and temporary living space I've ever had to move to. They bring me so much comfort just by loafing on the couch. I also like to blame every noise that I cannot explain on them.
They will forever be my fur babies and I'll always love them. So when I got a message in about doing a Styled Session to celebrate a beautiful girl named Mandy and her pup Champ, I knew I was going to love it!
Since we all grow and age she wanted to get photos of the two of them together that showed off their life and things they like to do like running around in the woods, lake and hiking. She also wanted to add a cute styled element of a cozy truck bed with a blanket, picnic basket and cute nicknacks set up to give the feeling of a country date in the park.
I was super stoked and sent a message over to my good friends over at Wild Things Antiques to see what goodies they had that matched the theme. They of course came through with some amazing items and the perfect picnic basket to put in the front of the truck bed. I also got a watermelon and two glass coke bottles with fun straws for finishing touches.
We met at Doe Run Lake to set up the shoot and photograph it. Lucky us, It was probably one of the hottest day of the year so far and we didn't have any shade what so ever but somehow we pulled it off, sweat and all!
I was so thrilled with how these came out and that I could help create images that both celebrated Mandy and Champs journey together and their friendship.
It made me think that one day I'm going to have to do this with my own fur babies. However, they are cats and I'm sure it will be a much more difficult task.
Let me know in the comments about your pets!
