Dream Sessions, Pirates and Polar Bears in Cincinnati Ohio

Meet Henry.

An amazing little guy who loves playing outside, swimming, reading books and especially loves animals. Polar bears to be more specific.

His mom, Jill, came to me a while back and asked if I could help create something for them that really captured some things that he loved because she had a wall in his room she wanted to get prints for.

I was stoked. I always love getting new clients and the thrill of creating something new always gets me jazzed.

I sent back an email telling her I would love to and began to tell her about how my process works and what to expect when it comes to photographing a Dream Session

Henry's mom explained to me that he is autistic and that the camera shutter sound doesn't quite work well with him, even though they have tried several times.

Generally when it comes to a Dream Session I meet with you prior to the session, we go over the idea, get a plan together and let the magic happen on shoot day.  However this particular session I would be doing things a little different.

His mom sent over some images from her phone that she thought would work well of him in different locations and angles and a theme of what they were going for.

Within a couple of weeks I, and a couple instagram story teasers later, I met with Jill at Left Bank Coffee house in Covington Kentucky to do a reveal of the final photos.

It never fails that I always get nervous for someone to see their final copies. This time was no different.

We sat and went thought all of them with plenty of excitement from both of us and maybe some tears too.

Henry and his mom were amazing to work with and brought some serious creativity to the table. It's people like this that make what I do even better! <3

Did you feel inspired by the images above? What was your favorite one?  Do you have a session idea for yourself?
